The Wolverine Express is an innovative high school visitation initiative that invites University of Michigan faculty, staff and students to Michigan high schools, aiming to inspire and empower students through engaging presentations on college access and career exploration.

2024
Plans to integrate storytelling techniques into campus and classroom visits.
2023
Introduced a teacher advisory panel for program feedback.
Expanded to include presentations on STEM pathways.
Returned to in-person visits, reaching 1,122 students across 55 classrooms.
2021
Developed facilitator toolkits in collaboration with U-M Academic Innovation.
2020
Piloted virtual programming to sustain engagement during the pandemic.
2018
12,000 students reached across 28 schools by this year.
2014
Program gained recognition on U-M homepage and University Record.
2011
First school visit engaged students through storytelling about academic journeys.

Wolverine Express program launched to connect U-M faculty and staff with high school students.
