Student Experience

We create transformative experiences that help students imagine themselves at the University of Michigan and beyond. From campus visits to near-peer mentorship, we connect students with the people, places, and programs that make college feel possible.

Programs

Raise Scholars:
Academic readiness and leadership development for high school students.
Campus Visits:
Customized visits showcasing academic programs, student life, and admissions resources through a “You Belong in College” framework.
CASA Student Ambassadors:
Current U-M students who mentor and inspire prospective students.
Project Inspire:
Workshops, consulting, and funding that support student leaders in outreach work on campus.
“I have the opportunity to mentor and guide students in similar paths to college. It's fulfilling to help them navigate personal challenges, and I appreciate the Project Inspire trainings."

U-M Student Leader

I am dedicated to educational outreach because I want to be part of the effort that made the education that saved me as accessible and attainable as possible. I hope to be a resource to all students and to share my experiences as a student, a woman, a Latina, etc., to better guide others in choosing the best path for them.”

Marisa Jordan Galarza ‘26, CASA

“Being a first-generation student from an under-resourced and rural community, I feel a duty to give back and help students like me who came from nothing to get to a place where they have limitless opportunity. Knowledge is power, truth is power, and to unlock the potential we have in ourselves and our communities, we must facilitate access to the necessary knowledge.”

Khyle Cross ‘23, CASA
